Last
week I started my personnal project. My intention is to make a video
for the song “Reinas” by the Spanish singer Suu. Only time will
tell if it turns out being something decent.
So
this project is going to be about 6 sessions of 1 hour long,
depending on our rhythm of work (until now, it’s been pretty slow).
On friday we had the first one.
What
I did was present the song to the kids and translate it. It’s in Spanish, so we have to translate it to English and sometimes even to Romanian, with the help of my tutor there, Camy.
It
took a long time to do that because the song, since it has some
feminist background, caused some debate. It was really interesting,
and I’m hoping that in the following sessions more students will
have the courage to participate.
Anyway,
I’m very happy with the results this far and I’m excited to see
what happens in the future.
