Living a new life, speaking a new dialect and experiencing a new culture

If you're like me and you decided to do an EVS in a country where you didn't have previous knowledge of the language then I guess you know how hard it can be. It can be hard sometimes, I'm not going to lie, but sometimes it can be a little bit funny and interesting too. For me even going to the supermarket can be a challenge but I get through it. I'm not saying this is a downer for me, this only makes me feel even more motivated.

Moving abroad is a very big step and living in a foreign country with a different culture, tradition and customs, away from your family and friends can be a tough experience. I left a little bit out of my comfort zone (which was scary as hell), but this is helping me a lot. I actually have the opportunity to meet new people, make new friends, travel, experience another culture, learn a new language (even though for me Romanian is turning out to be a little bit difficult), increase my skills and improve my confidence, etc..

Now that I'm living in another country far away from what I used to call home and now that I'm experiencing first hand a new culture I'm actually starting to get used to all of this.

After this 4/5 months have passed, I've gotten used to almost everything, my work, for example how to communicate with the children, my living environment, this new culture, to almost everything in Romania.

I advise you all to join me in this new experience while I tell you everything on this blog. And of course to go on your own adventure and do EVS.
