From the 10th to the 16th of December I went to my on arrival training, and I have to tell you how amazing it was.
For the ones who don't know, every EVS volunteer needs to be a part in this training provided by their host country national agency.
For the ones who don't know, every EVS volunteer needs to be a part in this training provided by their host country national agency.
The aim of this training is to introduce the volunteer in the host country, prepare them for the EVS experience, helps the volunteer to adapt to cultural and personal challenges. It allows volunteers to get to know each other and build a network. This training is good to meet other EVS volunteers that are in the same country doing other projects.
My expectations were to learn more about EVS and Erasmus+ and just enjoy this new experience.
My fear was not enjoying it and just not being able to meet other people the way I wanted to and just close myself to the point no one could get in. But that didn't happen.
The on arrival training was based upon non formal education approach. A combination of different creative and interactive methods were used such as: Ice-Breaking and Getting to Know each other activities; workshops, Discussions, etc..
After a few days I was able to built a really cool friendship with some of the people I met there. And then I was able to visit Bucharest, and enjoying it more by doing a challenge they gave us with a really cool group.
All in all the EVS OAT surprised me positively.
