This
week our stay in Bailesti was longer than usually, but it didn’t
seem like it. Usually we would have returned to Craiova after we did
the mother’s day activity (you can read about that activity here), but Paul (our tutor there) could’t
take us because he had to be a replacement in two classes, so we went
with him.
Both
classes were surprisingly small, there weren’t more than ten kids
in each. They also were older: they were already in high school. They
didn't know us or Paul, so obviously they were going to be a little
shy at the beggining. But after we played this game proposed by Bojan
called Lulalei (were they had to do some movements with their hands
while singing) the atmosphere was much more relaxed.
The
next game was proposed by Elena, and it’s called “Casa,
inquilino, terremoto” (“House, guest, earthquake”). The people
playing must be in groups of three, two of the are the house and the
other is the guest. One person must stay alone and be in charge of
saying the keywords. Those are the ones from the name of the game,
and depending on what is said the people that have to switch places
change. We all played (even Paul) and in the end we were feeling much
closer than at the beginning.
The
last game we played (proposed by Bojan) is called “Samurai”. The
people must be in circle, and while doing different sounds (like
“ha!” and “hiya!”) they must do some gestures in a concrete
order. If someone gets them wrong, he loses. And the game goes on
until there are only two people left, and they solve the game through
a “duel”.
So
yeah, I think in the end we were having even more fun than the kids.
